Vice-President to deliver platinum jubilee address at Miranda House on November 2

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar will deliver the address on the 'Role of Women in Indian Parliament' at 10 am.
NEW DELHI: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar will be delivering the platinum jubilee address titled "Role of Women in Indian Parliament" at Miranda House, University of Delhi, as part of the college’s platinum jubilee celebrations. This event has been scheduled for November 2, 2023, at 10 am in the Miranda House auditorium.
DU Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh, dean of colleges, and chairperson of the governing body of Miranda House will also be present during the event.

Miranda House celebrated its Founder's Day on March 24, 2023, and began its platinum year. The college honoured seven generations of women, commemorating its exceptional alumni in academics, social service, athletics, and the creative arts. Students, faculty members, and dignitaries attended the event.
Earlier this year, Miranda House announced that it will honor 75 women from various disciplines and generations as part of its 75th year celebrations, which will involve a range of cultural and academic programmes.
The first batch of alumnae to be honored were Meena Khanna from the 1955 batch, followed by educationist and writer Kavita Khare from the 1980 batch, child rights activist and author Enakshi Ganguly from the 1982 batch, social worker Sharmila Bhagat from the 1985 batch, and DU joint registrar Meenakshi Sahay from the 1994 batch.
