NEW DELHI, March 2, 2019: West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) has declared the result of WB SET 2018 exam held on December 2. The result has been declared for the candidates who have taken the test. Candidates can check their WB SET result 2018 through their applicant log in window wherein they can check their marks and scores. Candidates can check the result by visiting the official website http://www.wbcsc.org.in/wbcsc/SET.aspx and clicking on the result link.
In line with the WBCSC qualifying criteria, the authority has shortlisted top 6 percent of the total appeared candidates for the recruitment. To be shortlisted, general category candidates had to secure aggregate 40 percent marks, while reserved category candidates had to obtain at least 35 percent marks in both paper I and II. The cut off will be released by the examination authority anytime soon.
All qualified candidates of WB SET 2018 exam are now eligible for the certificate of eligibility, which is the prime requirement for the recruitment as Assistant Professors across the colleges/universities of West Bengal.
Earlier, the admit card of WB SET was released in online mode on November 5, while the candidates could download it till December 2 (till the exam).
WB SET is held for offering eligibility certificates to candidates, based on which they apply as Assistant Professors in the universities and colleges across West Bengal. The exam was conducted for two papers - paper I and II. Paper I was general in nature whereas paper II was based on one of the 30 subjects selected by the appearing candidates.
