In addition to this, WBBPE also published a list of the reserved category candidates that scored 82 marks in the examination.

According to the court orders, the candidates in these published lists have been declared as primary TET qualified candidates. Therefore, the West Bengal board has been ordered to adhere to the WBBPE Recruitment Rules, 2016.

The petitioner candidates are requested to submit all documents and testimonials (academic training, Id proof) along with a copy of the re-evaluated digitised data of OMR sheets containing the revised TET marks obtained from the WBBPE from November 14 to November 14, 2022 within office hours from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The matter of recruitment of TET candidates sparked protests of agitators that demanded immediate appointment as the 2014 TET recruitment was not carried on merit-basis and that conducting two rounds of interviews was "not fair". The protestors refused to reappear for exams and claimed that they were qualified for recruitment.

However, the board assured candidates who have cleared the TET examination and are on the TET merit list will not be left out. WBBPE ruled out the possibility of directly recruiting TET candidates who qualified the 2014 examinations but failed to clear interviews. WBBPE president Goutam Paul asked the candidates to re-appear for the TET exam this year, the board also said that the provision of relaxing the age bar for candidates will also be considered.
