WBJEE JELET 2024 registration begins tomorrow at wbjeeb.nic.in; eligibility, fee details

NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will begin the online application form-filling process for Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test (JELET) 2024 from tomorrow, February 8. Eligible candidates can fill out the registration form till March 11 by visiting the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in.

WBJEE JELET is a state-level entrance examination conducted for admission to the second year of four-year BTech courses in government and private colleges in the state of West Bengal. The WBJEE JELET 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 29 from 11 am to 1 pm. Candidates can make corrections in the WBJEE JELET 2024 application form from March 13 to 15

The application fee for WBJEE JELET 2024 is Rs 500 for male candidates from the general category and Rs 400 for general female candidates. Male candidates who belong to the reserved category such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC-A), OBC-B, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) will have to pay Rs 400. Female candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS categories and third-gender candidates will have to pay Rs 300 to complete the application process.

WBJEE JELET 2024: Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for WBJEE JELET 2024 are given below.

  • The applicant should be a citizen of India.

  • For BSc, marine engineering candidates, the upper age limit is 27 years and 25 years respectively as of December 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit for diploma holders in engineering, technology, or pharmacy.

  • Diploma holders who want admission in engineering and technology degree courses should have passed a minimum of three or two years diploma examination with a minimum of 45% marks.

  • BSc and BVoc applicants desiring admission to engineering and technology degree courses should have passed a BSc or BVoc degree from any UGC-recognized university with at least 45% marks.

  • Diploma holders in pharmacy seeking admission to a degree course in pharmacy should have completed the diploma with at least 45% marks.
