XAT 2019: Apply for XLRI programmes or additional programmes until December 28

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 12: XLRI, the conducting body of XAT 2019 has recently launched the facility to apply for XLRI programme(s) or opt for the additional programme(s) for registered candidates of XAT 2019. The deadline to submit the request is December 28, 2018. This service can be availed by aspirants who have already submitted their application form of Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2019. It comes as a boon to those candidates who missed applying for the XLRI courses at the time of registration or who want to apply for more programmes.

The latest official notification released by XLRI, Jamshedpur says:

According to the notification, registered candidates of XAT 2019 can make the request in offline mode by sending a letter to XLRI along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 500 and submit both before December 28, 2018.

Follow the below steps to complete the process of choosing the additional programme(s)-

1. Write a letter stating the XLRI programmes

2. Mention the following details in the same letter -

• XAT ID

• Father’s Name

• Date of Birth

• Programme name for wish you wish to apply

3. Attach a DD of Rs. 500 per programme. The DD should be in favour of “XLRI, Jamshedpur: Payable at Jamshedpur” and must not be dated later than December 20, 2018. Send the letter and DD on or before December 28, 2018, to the following address-

Candidates must note that this request fee is not the same as the application fee. Earlier, while filling the registration form of XAT, candidates had to pay the application fee (of Rs.1700 ) and program fee (of Rs.300 per programme). The last date to register for XAT 2019 with late fee had been extended by XLRI till December 9, 2018. The registration for XAT 2019 had started on August 20, 2018, and earlier, the last date to register was November 30, 2018.

There are four programmes which are offered by XLRI namely-

1. Business Management (BM)

2. Human Resource Management (HRM)

3. General Management Programme (GMP requires minimum 56 months work experience)

4. Fellow Programme in Management (FPM).

The next big event which candidates must watch out for is the release of the XAT admit card. XLRI will issue the XAT admit card in online mode on December 20, 2018. The document will display the candidate’s name, date of birth and contact details along with the test centre name and address. Exam day instructions will also be given on the admit card of XAT 2019.

Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur will conduct Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2019 on Sunday, January 6, 2019 (10 AM - 1 PM), on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). The entrance exam would be conducted in online mode. Around 90,000 students appear for the exam every year. The result of XAT 2019 is likely to be declared in the fourth week of January 2019 after which the scores will be used for admission in more than 150 XAT participating B-schools in India. XAT 2019 would be conducted across 46 cities in India.

With the XAT preparations already underway, let us take another glimpse at the exam pattern of XAT and ensure that the preparation for the same is on track. For those, who are not aware, the XAT 2019 exam pattern has changed and undergone revision in terms of duration and sections. The test will be conducted in 3 hours instead of 3 hrs and 35 minutes. XAT 2019 is scheduled on January 6, 2019, from 10 AM to 1 PM. The result will be declared on January 31, 2019.
