NEW DELHI, JANUARY 14: Endeavouring to create a culture of reading amongst children, Vega Schools is back with the 3rd edition of one of its flagship initiatives- The Gurgaon Children’s Literature Festival 2019. This ‘STUPENDO-FABULOUS’ litfest is set to roll out on 19th and 20th January at Vega Schools, Gurgaon with a vision to ignite a passion for literature and develop a lifelong habit of reading amongst children and even their parents.

In the world where technology governs our lives, GCLF gives children and young adults a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of stories, explore their curiosity and give flight to their imagination. Giving children access to over 10,000 books from national and international publishers, GCLF will help them discover their thirst for reading and learning.

On the announcement of the 3rd edition, Avishek Roy, Visionary and Founder of GCLF said, “We are extremely excited to come up with our 3rd edition. This year, we are looking forward to building children’s creativity, creating a global understanding of diverse cultures & people and developing a wholesome sense of community. We truly believe that when a child and a book connect, magic happens.”

GCLF 2019 is set to feature India’s most renowned personalities from the world of literature and to add yet another dimension to the festival. Some of them include Deepa Kiran (internationally acclaimed storyteller), Ajit Narayan (renowned cartoonist & illustrator), Benita Sen (children’s author & journalist), Roopal Kewalya (author & screenwriter), Nikita Arora (theatre professional & actor), and Vikram Sridhar (performance storyteller & theatre practitioner).

Additionally, there will be highly engaging sessions for children of different ages, categorized as Eeny (3-6 years), Meeny (7-9 years), Miny (10-12 years) and Moe (adults/guardians).

GCLF is a brilliant platform to guide parents on how to instill a love of reading in their children organically and even for some wholesome family fun. The previous editions of GCLF were highly successful and over the years there has been a collective footfall of over 11,000 children and parents.
