93% students get job offers at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology placement drive 2024

NEW DELHI: Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology said 93.09% students have got job offers during the SIST campus placement 2024. The highest salary package offered was Rs 45.59 lakh per annum (LPA) while the average package was Rs 5.40 LPA during the placement drive this year, it added. SIST made the announcement during the Excellence Day 2024 ceremony.

The institute said 312 companies offered 2,454 jobs to Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology students. The companies that participated included Accenture, Cognizant, Deloitte, Hitachi, HCL, TCS, Natwest, DevRev, Tredence Analytics, Virtusa , Tejas Network, Athena Health, JSW Steels, Sona Comstar, UnoMinda, Genpact, BNY Mellon, Godrej and Zoho. A total of 72 new companies participated in the placement drive.

The students who got job offers belong from 32 states and union territories across the country, and international students from more than 15 countries. “115 students who joined through the full scholarship scheme also have secured their jobs through the campus recruitment programme,” the institute said.

It also added that 15 students of the final year have qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) for higher studies. “More than 300 students have decided to pursue higher studies across the globe in universities through the advisory bureau for higher studies. Five visually-challenged students have got admitted into the Indian Institute of Management (IIM).”

The collaborative efforts between Sathyabama and industry partners, including Servicenow and PwC, resulted good number of job offers through the centre of excellences, highlighting the institution's proactive approach towards bridging the gap between academia and industry requirements, the institute added.
