NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has done an online transfer of scholarship worth Rs 458.66 crore to 12.17 lakh, meritorious students, under the Purv Dasham Dashamottar Chhatravriti Yojana Scholarship Scheme 2021-22.

“Online transfer of scholarship of Rs 458.66 crores to 12,17,631 meritorious students under Purv Dasham Dashamottar Chhatravriti Yojana Scholarship Scheme 2021-22…”, Yogi tweeted from his official Twitter handle.

Previously, in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has awarded scholarships to more than 20 lakh students belonging to minority communities under various scholarships schemes. The government claims to have doled out scholarships to around 20.16 lakh students in the last four-and-a-half years, reported India Today .4

To get the youth educated, Rs 3,000 per year is disbursed per student by the Minority Welfare Department in Uttar Pradesh under the state-funded pre-matric scholarship scheme. The post-matric scholarship amount is decided class-wise and course-wise for minority students.
