SSC CHSL 2024 registration ends tomorrow at ssc.gov.in; exam from July 1

NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will close the registration window for Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSL) 2024 tomorrow, May 7. Eligible candidates who want to appear for the recruitment exam can fill out the SSC CHSL application form 2024 through the official website, ssc.gov.in.

The SSC CHSL tier 1 exam is scheduled to be held on July 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2024. The SSC recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 3,712 vacancies for data entry operators, lower divisional clerks (LDC), and junior secretariat assistants (JSA) and various other posts. The commission will open the SSC CHSL application form correction window for two days on May 10 and 11, 2024.

Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 to register for the SSC CHSL exam. However, specific categories of candidates, such as women, scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD), and ex-servicemen (ESM), who are eligible for reservation, are exempted from paying the application fee. The last date for making online fee payments is May 8.

Candidates applying for the SSC CHSL 2024 should be between 18 years old and 27 years old. However, there are relaxations in the upper age limit for candidates from reserved categories. The reference date for determining age is August 1, 2024.

SSC CHSL 2024: Exam pattern

The SSC CHSL exam will be conducted in two tiers: tier 1 and tier 2. The tier 1 exam will have 100 questions carrying two marks each and 0.50 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Candidates will have a maximum of one hour to complete the examination. Subject-wise question distribution is given in the table below.
