AFCAT (1) 2019 Online Exam Begins on Feb 16; Know Details Here

NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 16: Indian Air Force is conducting Air Force Common Admission Online Test (AFCAT) on February 16 and 17, 2019. The examination is being held online across 104 exam cities. AFCAT comprises four sections - General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. The exam is being conducted for 2 hours.

The maximum marks allotted for the online test is 300 marks. The admit card was issued on January 30 and it is available till the day of examination. The result of AFCAT 2019 is expected to be released in April 2019. Along with the result, the commission will also release the cut off for online test.

Candidates who have applied for Ground Duty (Technical Branch) will need to appear for an additional Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) which will be held after the completion of the online test. The EKT will be conducted for 150 marks.

On the basis of marks secured in the online test, candidates will be shortlisted to appear for AFSB Interview. Next, IAF will conduct a medical test. After the medical exam, the conducting authority will prepare the final merit list.

As per the final merit list, candidates will be selected for recruitment to various branches of AFCAT as Permanent/Short Service Commission.

Indian Air Force conducts AFCAT for the recruitment of Group A Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. AFCAT is conducted twice a year. For the years 2019, as many as 163 vacancies have been announced for AFCAT (1) 2019.
