NEW DELHI: The Indian Army and Navy has started the Agniveer registration process for recruitment under the Agnipath scheme from July 1, 2022. The Agnipath recruitment 2022 will be held for two types of posts Agniveer (SSR) and Agniveer (MR).
According to the ministry of defense, candidates who have qualified in Class 12 will be able to apply for Agniveer (SSR) and applicants who have passed matriculation will be able to apply for Agniveer (MR).

To register for Agniveer (SSR), they should have cleared Class 12 examination with mathematics, physics and at least one of these subjects: chemistry, biology or computer science from an educational board recognized by the Ministry of Education.
The age for Agniveer (SSR) candidates should be between 17 and a half to 21 years on the day of enrolment. As a one-time relaxation of upper age limit upto 23 years has been granted for the Agniveer 2022 batch.
The Indian Air Force on June 24, started its recruitment process under the scheme and it received 2.72 lakh applications till Thursday, the ministry said.
After the ministry announced the Agnipath scheme on June 14, violent protests erupted across the country with many demanding to withdraw the new scheme.

The original documents uploaded by the candidates during online filling of application such as original certificates, mark sheets, domicile certificate and NCC Certificate (if held) are to be brought by the candidates at all stages of recruitment (PFT and Enrollment Medical at INS Chilka). The defense ministry also informed that “If the details provided in 'online application' are not matching with original documents at any stage, the candidature will be cancelled.”
Aadhaar card is mandatory document for recruitment in the Indian Navy and will be checked at all stages of recruitment, it said.
