NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) is expected to commence the registration for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 18 exam next month, BCI help desk told Careers360. The AIBE XVIII registration form 2023 will be available on the official website, allindiabarexamination.com.

BCI will also announce the AIBE 18 exam date 2023 soon. The registration process will include filling up of the application form, uploading of documents, and payment of the application fee. After the completion of the registration process, BCI will issue the admit card and important instructions for candidates on the official website.

AIBE 18 eligibility criteria

The BCI has set the following criteria for candidates to be eligible for the exam:

  • Candidates must have a graduate degree in law (3-year LLB and 5-year LLB) from a university recognised by the Bar Council of India.
  • There is no age limit for appearing in the AIBE exam.
  • Law graduates must have a valid enrollment certificate. They are required to qualify the AIBE exam within two years of enrollment at any of the state bar councils.

AIBE exam is conducted in an offline mode in 50 cities across the country. While filling the application form, candidates will be able to choose any three exam centres of their choice. The question paper will include 100 multiple choice questions based on the syllabus prescribed by BCI. The exam will be held for law graduates to get the Certificate of Practice (CoP) to practice law.

AIBE 17 results 2023 were declared on April 28. The BCI withheld the results of candidates who appeared in Rajkot exam centres over use of unfair means.
