NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) is expected to upload the provisional answer key for All India Bar Examination (AIBE 19) soon on the official website, allindiabarexamination.com. The examination was conducted on December 22 to determine the eligibility of candidates to practice law in Indian courts.

The AIBE 19 answer key will be provisional in nature. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections against the answers before a specified deadline. After reviewing the challenges submitted by the candidates, the subject experts will prepare the final answer key and AIBE 19 results.
According to the revised eligibility criteria, students who are in the final year of their law programme without any backlogs, and those who do not have an enrolment certificate will also be considered eligible for AIBE 19.
Additionally, it has added the three new topics in the AIBE 19 syllabus - Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita which replaces the Indian Penal Code of 1860, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita which replaces the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1973, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, which removes the Indian Evidence Act of 1872.
The AIBE exam 2024 was held for a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The question paper had 100 questions carrying one mark each. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers, as per the exam pattern.
Candidates can check the category-wise AIBE 19 cut-off, passing marks and qualifying percentage. The minimum marks required to clear the AIBE exam is based on the results of the last session.

As per the AIBE 18 exam, a total of 1,48,781 candidates registered for the All India Bar Examination, of which 1,44,014 took the exam and 4,767 were marked absent. The Bar Council of India declared 69,646 eligible to practice law in India. While 74,368 aspirants failed to clear the exam.
