The Bar Council of India (BCI) has issued guidelines for candidates appearing for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE 21), clarifying that entry into the examination centre will be strictly controlled. Candidates will have to carry their AIBE XXI admit card along with a valid government-issued photo ID. Without these documents, they will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.

As per the instructions, candidates will have to report to their respective centres by 11:30 am. The authorities have stated that no candidate will be permitted to enter the AIBE 21 exam hall after 1:15 pm.

The council has banned electronic devices and unauthorised items such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, bags, books, notes and papers inside the examination hall. However, candidates are allowed to bring blank papers, but they should not have any notes or written comments on them.

AIBE XXI exam guidelines

As per the AIBE 21 guidelines, candidates should use only blue or black ballpoint pens to mark their answers on the OMR sheet. The use of pencils is strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification. They should also carefully fill in details like roll number and question paper package code.

The AIBE XXI guidelines also include provisions for the differently-abled. Those with more than 40 per cent disabilities will be given 20 minutes extra time per hour.

"Candidates who are unable to write due to specific disabilities may avail the assistance of a scribe upon submission of necessary medical certificates and documents. The council will not provide a scribe to the PwD students," the BCI guidelines said.

The BCI has clarified that the candidature for this AIBE 21 examination is provisional. If any candidate is later found to be ineligible or involved in malpractice, their application will be cancelled, and they may be debarred from future AIBE exams.
