NEW DELHI; May 24: The entrance exam for admission to 1,207 MBBS seats 15 AIIMS Institutes will be conducted on May 25 and 26, 2019, in the morning and evening shifts. The computer based UG medical exam contains 200 multiple choice and reason assertive questions. Out of the total, 60 questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology each. While, 10 questions each will be asked from General Knowledge and Aptitude & Logical Thinking.

Just a day before the exam, the examination authority, on May 24, 2019, released an AIIMS 2019 exam advisory for all the test takers mentioning the important guidelines and dress code to be followed. For the convenience of candidates, below are some of the AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam day guidelines which should be followed.

Documents allowed: An applicant is only allowed to carry three items, which includes the admit card of AIIMS 2019, valid ID proof used while registration (as mentioned below) and two recent passport size photograph with white background. The identity proofs which can be carried by candidates in original and photocopy are as follows:

  • PAN card

  • Passport

  • Aadhaar card

  • Voter ID

  • Driving License

  • Class 12 central or state board admit card with photograph

Dress code: AIIMS authority has not specified any particular dress code. However, students are advised not to wear the dress which can used an unfair means during the AIIMS MBBS exam. Hats, caps, scarves or any such headgears, goggles, thick-soled footwear and large metallic buttons are prohibited. Any kind of ornaments are not allowed during the exam.

Candidates following a respective custom or religion can wear their customary dress provided they must report at the allotted exam centres within the adequate time for frisking.

Prohibited items: Mobile phones, wristwatches and any electronic devices which can be used as a medium of transmission or receipt of any data are forbidden. Also, it must be noted that the test centres will have no arrangements to keep the belongings of an aspirant. Therefore, they must not carry any items with them.

Be punctual: Candidates are advised to report at the AIIMS exam centre on or before the reporting time mentioned in the admit card, in order to avoid any last minute hassle and chaos. No entry will be taken after the closing time as mentioned in the exam hall ticket. Therefore, students and their parents/guardians must visit the address of test centre well in advance and should be familiar with the most convenient route.

Rough work: For calculations, students are permitted to use the back side of their admit card. All the admit cards and rough sheets should be returned and the form signed. Without submission of rough sheets, the result will not be evaluated.

Since, the AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam is conducted in computer based mode, no official as well as unofficial answer key will be released. Therefore, candidates must wait for the declaration of result by June 12, 2019, to know their chances of selection in AIIMS, New Delhi and 14 others in Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bathinda, Deogarh, Gorakhpur, Jodhpur, Kalyani, Guntur, Nagpur, Patna, Rae Bareli, Raipur, Rishikesh and Telangana.
