New Delhi; November 22: AIIMS, New Delhi has released the result of AIIMS PG 2020 January session on November 22, 2019. Candidates can check their result by following below given steps. The authorities have released AIIMS PG result 2020 in PDF format where the last page of the PDF contains a number of important details. For the January session of AIIMS PG 2020; 3623 MD/MS and 83 MDS candidates have been invited to participate in the mock counselling round to be conducted on December 2, 2019. The individual scorecard of the candidates will be released on November 25 on the official website of AIIMS.

How to check AIIMS PG result?
AIIMS aspirants can follow the steps below to download their result:
Step 1. Aspirants have to first visit the official website aiimsexams.org
Step 2. ‘In the Important announcements’ section a clickable notification regarding the release of AIIMS PG result has been made available. Candidates have to click it
Step 3. The result will be displayed in PDF format, candidates will have have to click Ctrl+f and find their roll number

The result, as declared by AIIMS, New Delhi mentions the roll number of candidates, category, category rank, overall rank, percentile, etc. It also mentions the AIIMS institute from which the candidate has completed in graduation (if any). Another important thing mentioned is last rank included in the list for different categories for MDS/MS/MD which can be checked below.

Tie-breaking criteria
There have been cases where two or more candidates secure same marks in the entrance examination. Here comes in the role of tie-breaking criteria as set by the authorities. In case of a tie, below-mentioned tie-breaking criteria will apply

Total aggregate marks in MBBS/BDS professional exams - Candidate securing higher aggregate marks in MBBS/BDS professional exams will be given higher preference

Age - In cases where the tie still exists candidate’s date of birth will be taken into consideration. Candidate older in age will be preferred
What after the declaration of result?
After the declaration of results, AIIMS, New Delhi will begin with the counselling process for admission. As mentioned above, the mock round of counselling will be conducted on December 2. AIIMS, Delhi releases eight times the total number of seat available for admission in the seven AIIMS institutes located in India. It does not include the name of all qualified candidates. The name of all candidates who have cleared the entrance test by securing the cutoff, i.e., 50th percentile are included in the merit list and called for counselling. AIIMS PG counselling 2020 will be in online mode, except for the final round which will be conducted in offline mode.
