NEW DELHI: The spread of Coronavirus has left the schedule of major law entrance exams in shambles. After the postponement of CLAT 2020, National Law University Delhi has also rescheduled the AILET 2020 in view of COVID-19 outbreak. The entrance exam, which was slated to be held on May 03 will now be conducted on May 31. Further, the last date to submit the application form has also been extended till April 30.

Candidates should note that the fresh exam date issued by the university is subject to the further notifications to be issued by the Government of India regarding the lockdown. AILET 2020 is conducted for admissions to BA LLB and LLM courses offered by the NLU Delhi. There are 110 seats in BA LLB course, while 70 seats are being offered in LLM course.
The COVID-19 outbreak has forced the country into a 21 days lockdown, affecting the functioning of almost all NLUs which have put their educational and administrative works on hold. Further, there are several other law entrance exams across the country that has been postponed.
