All India Bar Examination: Department closed till further notice, AIBE 2021 exam date to be declared soon

Download NowNEW DELHI: After the announcement of lockdown and curfew in Delhi, the Bar Council of India has said that the department of the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) will remain closed till further notice. The AIBE XVI (16) 2021 has also been postponed and the new date will be announced soon.
Certificate of Practice (CoP) to be issued in July
Candidates who participated in the previous session of AIBE and have passed the examination will be issued Certificate of Practice or, CoP in the month of July 2021. It may be noted that CoP will be a mandatory document for practising law in any court of India. Meanwhile, the result of AIBE XV (15) 2020 was declared on March 30, 2021.

The council has also announced that the pending result of 2866 candidates will be declared on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Such candidates will be given 10 days of rechecking time.
Emergency helpline number issued
As per the notification, the helpline numbers 01149225022/23 will not be active till further notice. However, in the case of any urgent query related to payment or registration for AIBE XVI (16) 2021, the candidates may call on +91-9804580458.
AIBE XVI (16) postponed till further notice
The AIBE XVI (16) which was originally scheduled to be held in the third week of March has now been postponed indefinitely. The new date will be declared soon. Meanwhile, for any query, candidates are advised to use the official helpdesk as the council promises to respond within 24-48 hours.
