Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham sets up new international law school

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham: The new school will offer law programmes, including 5-year integrated BA LLB (hons) and BBA LLB (hons) for admission to the academic year 2025-26.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has launched a new International School of Law for admissions to undergraduate courses for the academic year 2025-26. The law school will offer students admission to 5-year bachelor of arts and bachelor of legislative law (BA LLB hons) and bachelor of business administration and bachelor of legislative law (BBA LLB hons) programmes designed to equip students with concepts of both Indian and international legal frameworks.

The application process for admission to the law courses is now open at amrita.edu/law. Eligible students will also get access to scholarships offered by the law school.

According to the official Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham statement, the course curriculum includes core subjects of Indian laws and a comparative study of various legal systems across the globe.

“The courses aim to prepare students for a wide range of professional roles in law, policy, and governance, both at domestic and global level,” the official Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham statement said.

Students taking admission to the law programme will have access to practical training through moot courts, legal aid clinics, internships, and other skill development programmes.

The new law school programmes will be offered in collaboration with multiple foreign universities and are backed by placement support, which is supported by the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s corporate and industry relations (CIR) division.

“Faculty members bring a combination of academic expertise and professional legal experience both from India and abroad will take the students through a world-class learning environment,” the official Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham statement adds.
