Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, INCOIS collaborate to design early warning systems for coasts

NEW DELHI: The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a deemed to be university, based in Coimbatore is set to launch an off-campus centre at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved eight programmes to be started for the academic year 2022-23 at the Amaravati campus.
Amrita University will offer the following programmes for the academic year 2022-23:

MSc courses in physics, chemistry and maths will be offered as five-year integrated courses as well as two-year master's courses, making the number of courses from these departments six. While MSc courses in data science and computer science will only be offered as five-year integrated courses. All courses except MSc Computer Science are allowed an intake of up to 60. However, MSc Computer Science is allowed to have up to 120 student-strength.

"The new course(s) at the Amaravati Campus shall be started by the deemed to be University only in accordance with the provisions of the prevailing UGC Regulations," said a notification from UGC.
