Though the examinations have been postponed, however, no new dates have been announced for when will the exams be held further. Earlier, the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had asked the University Grants Commission (UGC) to come up with fresh guidelines pertaining to conducting the exams, considering the COVID-19 situation. However, those guidelines are yet to be announced.
It must be noted that many universities have been postponing their final year/semester exams due to the COVID-19 situation and uncertainties arising out of it. Earlier, the University of Delhi postponed its open book exams (OBE) for the final year students for 10 days. While the DU OBEs were slated to begin from July 1, after the postponement now, the authorities have decided to start the examinations from July 10. Similarly, Lucknow University has recently decided to postpone all university exams which were scheduled to be held from July 7.
