Delhi to get museum dedicated to AMU founder Syed Ahmed Khan

Aligarh Muslim University to will also launch a new website to mark its centenary year.

NEW DELHI: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) announced that a new museum will be set up in Delhi to commemorate its founder Syed Ahmed Khan who established the university in 1920. The museum will display historical records and artefacts of Khan’s work including those related to the creation of the university.

This announcement was made at a two-day seminar AMU organised to celebrate one hundred years of its existence.

The university will also launch its new website on Wednesday, the university said in a statement. AMU Vice Chancellor Tariq Mansoor will inaugurate the website at 4.30 pm on December 9.

The university in a statement released on Tuesday said: "The newly developed Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) website will be inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Tariq Mansoor through a video conferencing platform at 4.30 pm on December 9.”

The university also said that around 50 papers on AMU’s achievements in various streams were presented in the two-day webinar.
