AP EAMCET- A New Name in 2021

Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh said that the entrance exam may get a new name from 2021 as the exam is only conducted for Engineering and Agriculture streams, not for medical while the EAMCET refers to Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET).

In the Agriculture stream, a total of 69,000 students declared qualified with the overall pass percentage at 91.77 per cent. Approx.  75,000 candidates appeared in AP EAMCET 2020 Agriculture stream.

There are a total of 143254 engineering seats in Andhra Pradesh out of which 138972 seats will be available for admission in private engineering colleges. Seats will be allotted as per the given reservation norms.

Convenor quota- 70%

Management quota- 30%

If two or more candidates secured the same total marks in AP EAMCET 2020 result then below given tie-breaking criteria is considered-

• First preference will be given to candidates who secured more Mathematics marks

• Class 12 aggregate percentage

• If the candidate having similar marks in all the above then the candidate's age is considered.
