NEW DELHI: The state law entrance exam of Andhra Pradesh will be conducted on August 06. Sri Krishnadevaraya University, on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, or APSCHE conducts AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes respectively. The entrance exam registration is currently open with a late fee of Rs 1000 till July 16, after which the applicable late fee will be Rs 2000. Successfully registered candidates will be issued admit cards on August 2, for appearing in the online examination.
The ongoing COVID-19 crisis has affected the schedule of almost all law entrance exams conducted in India including AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET. Both state law entrance exams were originally scheduled to be conducted on May 8.

What law courses are offered through AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET
Several law colleges of Andhra Pradesh are participating in the state-level law entrance exam. The AP LAWCET is conducted for admissions to 3-year LLB programmes and 5-year integrated law programmes.
The AP PGLCET will also be conducted on the same day and admission through it is offered in a 2-year LLM course offered by the participating colleges and universities.
AP LAWCET 2020 syllabus and pattern
The online exam consists of 120 multiple choice type questions and candidates are given 90 minutes to complete the test. The students are asked 30 questions from general knowledge and mental ability, 30 questions from current affairs and 60 questions from legal aptitude. Each question carries one mark.
AP PGLCET 2020 syllabus and pattern
All the courses of LLM are offered through AP PGLCET which is also a 90 minutes duration exam. 120 questions are asked in AP PGLCET, each carrying one mark. The details of the syllabus are given below.
