APPSC Group 2 notification 2019 released; online registration to begin from Jan 10

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 31: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released notification for APPSC Group 2 examination on December 31, 2018. As many as 446 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment exam. The online application form of APPSC Group 2 will be released on January 10, 2019. Candidates can fill APPSC Group 2 application form till January 31, 2019. The commission will conduct the sceening test on May 5, 2019. The mains examination is scheduled to be conducted on July 18 and 19, 2019.

According to the notification, any graduate candidates in between 18 to 42 years can apply for the exam. The application processing fee is Rs 250 while examination fee is Rs 80. SC, ST, BC, PH & Ex-Service Men etc are exempted from paying the examination fees.

The screening test as per the exam pattern will carry questions from General Studies and Mental Ability, Social and Cultural History of Andhra Pradesh and Indian Constitution and Planning and Economy. The total marks allotted for the test is 150. The mains exam will have questions from General Studies and Mental Ability, Social History of Andhra Pradesh & general overiew of the Indian Constitution and Planning in India and Indian Economy Comtemporary problems and developments in Rural Society with special reference to Andhra Pradesh. The mains exam carries total 450 marks.

The selection process of APPSC Group 2 includes -Screening Test, Mains exam and Computer Proficiency Test. Candidates qualifying the screening test will be called for the mains exam. Those who will qualify the mains exam will be called for computer proficiency test. Selection of candidates for appointment will be done based on their performance in the mains exam provided they qualify the medical examination.

APPSC Group 2 examination is conducted for recruitment to various Group 2 posts like Asst. Commercial Tax Officer in A.P. Commercial Taxes Sub-ordinate Service, Deputy Tahsildar in A.P. Revenue Subordinate Service, Senior Auditor in A.P. State Audit Subordinate Service, Municipal Commissioner Grade-III in A.P. Municipal Commissioner Subordinate Service etc.
