NEW DELHI, APRIL 21: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is conducting APPSC Panchayat Secretary Screening test today, on April 21 across 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. As per a notification released by APPSC, a total of 4,95,526 candidates are appearing for the Screening Test. The exam is being held for the recruitment to the post of Panchayat Secretary (Grade IV) in AP Panchayat Raj Subordinate Service. 

Candidates were required to carry APPSC Panchayat Secretary admit card and one photo identity proof - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, PAN card, Passport, Driving License and Bank Passbook to the exam centre. The admit card and ID proof of candidates have to bear the same name as that on the admit card of  APPSC Panchayat Secretary 2019. The admit card could be downloaded from the official website - psc.ap.gov.in. After the exam, the exam conducting body will release the APPSC Panchayat Secretary answer key. Candidates can calculate their expected scores and predict the chance to qualify for the exam.

April 21, 10:00 am - The Screening test of APPSC Panchayat Secretary Started. Candidates without their admit card and one photo identity proof were not allowed to write the exam. 

April 21, 9:30 am - As per the guidelines, candidates were also not allowed to carry calculator, mobile phone, or any other electronic device inside the examination hall.

Important points of APPSC Panchayat Secretary Exam:

  • Candidates can only use blue or black ballpoint pen. Usage of whitener is strictly prohibited. 

  • Extra time will only be given to eligible disabled candidates. 

About APPSC Panchayat Secretary Exam: 

APPSC Panchayat Secretary offline exam is being held for 150 minutes and will consist of two parts. The exam is conducted for a total of 150 questions for 150 marks. For each wrong answer marked by the candidates, one-third marks are being deducted whereas no deduction is being done for the unanswered questions. 

APPSC has also released the APPSC Panchayat Secretary question papers. The question papers contain all the questions which have been asked in the exam. APPSC is expected to declare the result of the screening test in June. Based on the APPSC Panchayat Secretary result 2019 for the screening test, candidates will be shortlisted for mains exam. APPSC Group 3 mains exam will be held on August 2, 2019. The admit card dates for has not been announced yet. 

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts APPSC Panchayat Secretary in two stages - Screening Test and Mains Exam. Candidates qualifying in both the stages will be selected for the post of Panchayat Secretary (Grade IV) in AP Panchayat Raj Subordinate Service. For 2019, APPSC has announced a total of 1051 vacancies.
