NEW DELHI: The Assam education minister Ranoj Pegu rubbished reports on Assam Board Class 12 chemistry question paper leak. The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) held the Assam HS chemistry exam on February 28.

Some media reports stated that the Assam Board Class 12th paper was allegedly leaked a day before the exam on WhatsApp. However, the state education minister in a tweet said that the Assam HS paper leak news is fake.
“The news of the Chemistry question paper leak in the current HS examination is completely fake and baseless. I have personally checked the matter. We are taking utmost care and maintaining vigilance. Please don’t heed fake news and rumours,” Ranoj Pegu said.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council also addressed the issue and clarified that there was unfair means used during the exam and students should focus on the upcoming exam, as per reports. It also reiterated that the news of the Assam HS paper leak is fake.

Assam HS board exams 2022-23 began on February 20 and will conclude on March 20. Assam 12th HS board exam 2023 is being conducted for arts, commerce, science and vocational streams. The AHSEC conducts exam in two shifts - the first shift starts from 9 AM to 11 AM, while the second shift is held between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM.
