Download EBookThe Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has issued the provisional merit list for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 for admission to first-year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programmes offered by government medical and dental colleges in the state. Candidates can check the Assam NEET UG merit list 2025 on the official website, dme.assam.gov.in.
The Assam NEET UG 2025 merit list has been released in PDF format and includes key details such as roll number, candidate name, sex, category, total marks obtained, percentile, NEET rank, and applicant’s state. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the state counselling process for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in government medical and dental colleges of Assam.
The schedule for online NEET UG counselling 2025 will be issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Government of India, and will be uploaded on the DME website in due course.
Eligibility for out-of-state students
Candidates who appeared for NEET UG 2025 and belong to Assam, hold a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC), but studied in Classes 7 to 12 outside the state, can also apply for inclusion in the Assam state merit list. Applications should be submitted on plain paper with valid documents to the Directorate’s office, by hand, by July 11.
The Assam NEET UG final merit list will be released after verifying and incorporating valid claims. Candidates have been advised to check the official website regularly for updates. Candidates seeking a change in their category can submit their application in the prescribed format at dme.assam.gov.in.

Assam NEET UG Counselling 2025: Documents required
Applications, along with supporting documents, should be submitted in person to Room No. 5, 2nd floor of the Directorate’s office, by July 11 during office hours. Candidates should also collect the acknowledgement receipts at the time of document submission. The list of documents required for NEET UG counselling 2025 is given below.
- NEET UG application form
- Admit card of HSLC or equivalent examination
- HSLC or equivalent pass certificate
- Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC)
- Mark sheets of Class 12
- NEET UG admit card
- NEET UG scorecard
- Caste certificate, if applicable
