BCI prohibits 7 law colleges from taking admissions until further notice
Bar Council of India has barred 7 centres of legal education, 4 from UP, from admitting students into their law programmes starting from 2024-25 session.

NEW DELHI : The Bar Council of India (BCI) has prohibited seven law colleges from admitting students in law programmes for the academic year 2024-2025 until further notice. Among the prohibited colleges, four are from Uttar Pradesh, two from Andhra Pradesh, and one from Rajasthan.
“List of centers of legal education who are prohibited from taking admission in law degree courses for the academic year 2024-2025 and subsequent years until further notice,” read the BCI official notice.
List of colleges barred from taking admissions
The following law colleges have been barred from offering admission to law programmes:
- HS Law College, Agra Road, Etah, Uttar Pradesh (affiliated from Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University)
- Master Somnath Law College, 5 KM Stone from Saras Circle, Agra Road, Bharatpur, Rajasthan (affiliated from Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, Rajasthan)
- Shri Krishna College of Law, Daula, Baghpat-Meerut Road, district Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh (affiliated from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Uttar Pradesh)
- Sri Eshwar Reddy College of Law, Anjimedu, Yerpedu Mandal, Tirupati District, Andhra Pradesh (affiliated from Sri Venkateswara University, Andhra Pradesh)
- Sri Shirdi Sai Vidya Parishad, Sri Shirdi Sai Law College, Gavarapalem, Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh (affiliated from Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh)
- SS College of Law, Madanpur, Tehsil Khair, District Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh (affiliated from Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra)
- Teju Singh Memorial Law College, Shabaipur, Gajraula, J P Nagar, Uttar Pradesh (affiliated from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Uttar Pradesh)
