Basic registration process of AIIMS application form extended till January 14; Technical issues resolved

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 4: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, in a recent notice announced the extension of date for filing online application meant for AIIMS MBBS entrance examination from January 3 to January 14, 2019, up to 5 PM. The notice also states the change in dates of the further application process.

Since the registration date for basic application form has been extended, the dates other related procedures will now be as follows:

• Basic Registration (PAAR) for MBBS 2019 - November 30, 2018 to January 14, 2019

• Status update (Accepted & Not Accepted) of Basic Registration - January 16, 2019

• Correction of deficiencies in Basic Registration that are not Accepted - January 17 to January 22, 2019

• Final status (Accepted & Rejected) of Basic Registration - January 25, 2019

• Code Generation - January 29 to February 17, 2019

• Final Registration - February 21 to March 12, 2019

Issues in AIIMS login?

Candidates on the Careers360 QnA portal reported to be facing AIIMS login issues while filling up the basic registration form. After entering particular details, candidates faced difficulty in submitting the application form which could not be completed due to an ‘exception 1 error pop up’. The candidates trying to fill the form on the former last date appeared to have faced this problem because of technical issues which have now been resolved. Since the last date of the basic registration has been extended, the candidates are advised to avoid logging in repeatedly in one go and try filling up the form in the stipulated time period to successfully submit the application form.

AIIMS Application Process

The candidates who are interested in appearing for AIIMS MBBS entrance examination are required to submit a basic registration form followed by a final registration form through the Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) facility which has been introduced for this year by the authorities.  The basic registration that began on November 30 last year is the first step in registration procedure that needs to be filled and submitted online in order to be eligible to appear for the entrance examination. The notification has been released for the entrance examination leading to admission for approximately 1,200 seats in 15 AIIMS in the country for this academic year.

Final Registration

The final registration process of AIIMS application form will begin on February 21, 2019, the notice specified. Candidates are required to fill their personal details, contact details and upload the scanned images of passport size photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression in the basic registration application form. All the other essential details such as qualification details, payment, choice of city and printout of the registration form will be done in the final registration process.

The candidates who have completed or likely to complete Class 12 within the specified date can fill AIIMS application form 2019. Once completed with the basic registration of AIIMS MBBS 2019 through PAAR, applicants will be informed whether their application is accepted or not. Only students whose application form of AIIMS will be accepted will be eligible to participate in the final registration process. The application fee can be paid only in online mode through debit/credit cards or net banking. Aspirants with incorrect and incomplete application forms will not be allowed to appear for AIIMS MBBS.
