NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India has released a new schedule for All India Bar Examination (AIBE). The exam will now be conducted on November 08, in offline mode. The last date to register has been extended till October 17, however, registered candidates will be allowed to submit their AIBE application form till October 24.
Earlier, the BCI had released the application form on May 16 and the originally, exam was scheduled to be conducted on August 16. But in view of COVID-19 outbreak, the exam was postponed indefinitely.

The BCI conducts AIBE every year. Law graduates or those in the final year/semester of their LLB are eligible to apply for the examination. AIBE is a Certificate exam through which BCI sets a minimum benchmark for admission to the practice of law. Candidates who qualify in AIBE are awarded Certificate of Practice (COP) by BCI, which enables them to practice in a court of law in India. AIBE is an open book exam conducted for 3 ½ hours. The question paper consists of 100 objective type questions form legal subjects. There is no negative marking in the examination.
