Controversy Related to Bihar 94000 Primary Teacher Recruitment
Last year in August, this recruitment notification was released by the Bihar Education Board and later it went on hold due to the primary education directorate letter denying eligibility to candidates having 18-month D.El.Ed programs citing NCTE norms was challenged in the High Court. Now, the Bihar Education Board again initiated this recruitment process of 94000 primary school teachers after the High Court terminated that letter and gave judgment in favor of candidates. The HC stated that the petition was completely illegal and violated Article 14 of the Constitution and validated the D.El.Ed (open distance learning) program through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
