BPSC postpones assistant education development officer 2025 exam for over 9 lakh due to ‘unavoidable reasons’

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) 2025 exam due to unavoidable reasons for 9.7 lakh candidates. The commission will issue the new dates for the AEDO 2025 exam soon on its official website at bpsc.bihar.gov.in.

The BPSC was supposed to conduct the AEDO 2025 written test from January 10 to 16, 2026. However, due to unavoidable reasons, the commission has postponed the objective-type exam to fill a total of 935 posts.

The BPSC AEDO 2025 question paper will be objective in nature and will consist of three sections - general studies, general knowledge, and general aptitude.

BPSC AEDO 2025: Admit card on January 3

The commission will conduct three exams for 100 marks each and candidates will be selected based on the scores obtained in the written objective-type examination.

Out of the total vacancies, 375 have been locked for unreserved categories, 93 for Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 150 for Scheduled Caste (SC), 10 for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 168 for Extremely Backward Classes (EWS), 112 for Backward Classes (BC), and 28 for women under the Backward Classes.

In addition, the BPSC will issue the BPSC AEDO admit card 2025 for more than 9 lakh candidates on January 3, 2026.
