The Bihar Government has allowed teaching staff to be present on an alternating basis.

NEW DELHI: The Bihar Government, on Thursday, closed all schools, colleges and other educational institutions till April 18 amid rising COVID-19 cases. The government has however allowed teaching staff to be present at the institutions on an alternating basis.
The Bihar Government, in a circular,said: “In primary schools there will be alternating teachers present in the school and where more than two teachers are posted, with 33 percent of the staff on each day.”
“In middle schools, secondary and higher secondary schools, the headmaster will be present daily and the remaining teachers and non-teaching staff will be present 33 percent in turn every day,” it added.
Over the past few weeks, more than half a dozen states have closed schools and postponed exams or promoted students without exams. The Central Board of Secondary Education, on Wednesday, decided to promote Class 10 students without exams and postponed the Class 12 board exam.
