BITSAT 2025 day 1 exam faces server failures, delays at multiple centers; candidates report long waits

Reports from multiple locations, including Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Noida, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, and Gurgaon, highlighted technical difficulties and organisational issues disrupting the smooth conduct of the exam. The BITS Pilani is conducting the BITSAT 2025 exam from May 26 to May 30 in two shifts each day. Shift 1 from 9 am to 12 pm and shift 2 from 2 pm to 5 pm.

At the Bhonwal Institute of Engineering in Lucknow, candidates were unable to enter the exam centre due to unresolved technical problems, with college gatekeepers informing parents about the delay. “#BITSAT exam today, B R online services centre in #Lucknow server down!! pathetic!!,” an X user said.

“Sir, Candidates entry at BR Online Services at Bhonwal Institute of engineering Lucknow has not yet started, Collage gate keepers have been interacting with parents informed us of some technical issue, please look into the matter,” another user posted on X.

Ahmedabad server crash halts student entry

Meanwhile, candidates at the Ahmedabad centre faced similar issues as the server reportedly went down, preventing entry to the exam hall. “BITSAT Server is down. Pathetic arrangements. Not allowing any candidates at Ahmedabad,” user posted on social media X.

In Noida, students stood outside in the heat for over an hour, expressing frustration over the lack of arrangements and the negative impact on their exam performance. Similar complaints came from Bangalore and Gurgaon, where server failures led to exam centres not opening their gates on time. “Horrible conditions for students and parents waiting more than 1 hr outside #raincloudtechnologies #BITSAT Bangalore centre,” a candidate reported, highlighting the long wait and poor arrangements at the exam venue.

Students slam ‘pathetic’ arrangements online

The Bhubaneswar centre witnessed confusion as the reporting time was changed from 7:30 am to 8:30 am without prior notice. “@bitspilaniindia total mismanagement in conducting BITSAT at Bhubaneswar, reporting time 7.30, but unilaterally changed without information to 8.30. Horrible place, no place to stand, huge temperature, everywhere cow dung,” a candidate tweeted, expressing frustration over the exam’s organisation.

Candidates voiced their concerns on social media, calling the arrangements “pathetic” and urging the BITS administration to address these issues promptly. The disruptions across multiple centres on the first day of BITSAT 2025 have raised concerns over the management and readiness for the entrance exam, putting pressure on officials to resolve technical glitches and ensure a smoother process for the remaining exam days.
