NEW DELHI, JULY 17: FORE School of Management, New Delhi achieves a remarkable gender diversity this year with almost 50 per cent female students taking admission in its three PGDM Programmes.
The 360 students admitted from 8000+ diverse applications come from almost all states across India. This makes FORE exceptional in terms of both Institute diversity and gender balance, something the institution has consistently worked on achieving.
Speaking to the students during the induction ceremony, Dr. Jitendara Das, Director, FORE School of Management, said, “We will always make sure that you are provided with all that is required for quality learning, but it is up to you to have the zeal to learn and transform yourselves into the able beings”.
Dr. Das also spoke on how FORE has modified the admission policy without compromising on quality and norms in an effort to attain diversity and emphasized on pros of fixing gender imbalances for the beneficiary of our societies and economies.
Dr. BBL Madhukar, Vice President, Finance, FORE School of Management, said “It’s always good to find more women or girls in classrooms at B-schools. Bridging the gap of gender diversity not only strives towards the theme of balance for better but also helps to instil the morale of students at times of career selection and the workforce”.
Gender diversity has been a major point of concern for both business-schools and corporates alike, with corporates demanding a more diverse work-force and capitalizing on the potential of female workers.
During his speech, Madhukar asserted that the speed at which the marketplace is evolving makes it a business imperative and collective responsibility to have a gender-balanced workforce and there is this need to upskill the students in a similar manner.
