NEW DELHI: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is all set to commence the Bihar matric exam on February 15. The BSEB Class 10 exams will end on February 23, 2024. The Bihar matric exams will be conducted in two separate shifts: morning (9:30 am to 12:45 pm) and afternoon (1:45 pm to 5 pm).
The Bihar Board exams will begin with mother tongue papers on February 15, while mathematics will be held on February 16, 2024. The Bihar matric exam will take place at 1,585 centres spread across 38 districts. A total of 16,94,781 candidates are expected to appear for the examination, out of the total candidates, 8,22,587 are boys and 8,72,194 are girls.
The exam sessions will be divided into two shifts: morning and afternoon. The morning session is scheduled to take place from 9:30 am until 12:45 pm, whereas the afternoon session will be held between 2 pm and 5:15 pm. Each BSEB matric exam will last for 3 hours and 15 minutes, with the first 15 minutes dedicated to students for reviewing the question paper. Students must arrive at the examination centre with ample time before the scheduled start.
For exams commencing at 9:30 am, students should reach the venue by 9 am. Likewise, for exams starting at 2 pm, candidates are required to arrive by 1:30 pm. They must carry the BSEB admit card 2024 and a valid ID proof.
Candidates have to undergo a thorough screening process before entry to the exam hall. It is essential to ensure that no candidate possesses any form of cheating materials or electronic devices.
Also, candidates are prohibited from wearing shoes and socks during the exam. The centre superintendents have been instructed to maintain cleanliness in the centre and make necessary arrangements for toilets, drinking water, and lighting.
To maintain peace and order, Static Magistrates, Senior Static Magistrates, police officials, armed police forces, and zonal and super zonal magistrates have been assigned to each examination centre.
CCTV cameras have been installed outside each examination center and at strategic locations to monitor any disruptive behaviour.
Videography arrangements have been made at the examination centres as well.
Prohibitory orders under Section 144 will be enforced within a 200-meter radius of the examination center.
Candidates will be strictly prohibited from using any form of electronics, gadgets, mobile phones, etc. within the examination centres.
It is informed that for the successful conduct of the Bihar Matric Examination 2024, a control room has been set up by the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna. The control room will remain operational continuously from 6 am on February 14, 2024, to 6 pm on February 23, 2024.
