He noted that thorough preparation with NCERT would have been beneficial. The paper provided a balanced assessment, evaluating students' conceptual understanding, mathematical concepts, problem-solving skills, and their applications. Students who focused on a deep understanding of concepts and thorough preparation would have found it advantageous. Effective time management was crucial for navigating the paper successfully. Overall, the paper was tricky, with no straightforward questions, as most were competency-based. The multiple-choice and case study questions were application-oriented.
Ashish, a student from VidyaGyan School, shared his experience, mentioning that Set 1 was particularly challenging, especially the multiple-choice questions. He found most of the 3-mark and 5-mark questions tricky, particularly those based on trigonometry.
According to Shashi Kant Prasad, postgraduate teacher (PGT) of mathematics at VidyaGyan School, Dulehra, the CBSE Class 10 mathematics examination was lengthy but of moderate difficulty, making it reasonably approachable for students. A significant portion of the questions closely resembled those in the NCERT textbook. Despite the variation in sets, the overall question pattern remained largely consistent.

Shaurya Jain, a student who appeared for the exam said that the CBSE Class 10 Maths paper 2025 was easier than the pre-boards and not lengthy. The CBSE Class 10 students could complete the paper comfortably within two hours and 20 minutes.
Karan, TGT Mathematics at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow, said that the overall difficulty level of the CBSE Class 10 maths paper 2025 was 'highly satisfactory' for most students. According to the subject expert, both standard and basic versions of CBSE Class 10 maths exam 2025 were in line with students' expectations.
