BSEB Class 10 Matric Exam 2025: 39 expelled so far; 15 caught cheating in second language paper

A total number of 34 impersonators and 39 students have been expelled for cheating and using unfair means in the Bihar Class 10 board exams in three days, the Bihar board said.

The Bihar Board Class 10 students appeared for the second language paper on day 3. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) administered the exam for nearly 16 lakh students in 1,677 centres across the state. Fifteen students were expelled for involvement in malpractice and 16 impersonators were caught during the matric board exam 2025, the BSEB said.
A total of 11 impersonators from Nalanda, 3 from Supaul, and 1 from Madhepura and Bhagalpur districts were caught during the exam. However, no malpractice was reported from the 73 exam centres in Patna, it added.

The third day of the Bihar Class 10 board exams was conducted in two shifts - the first shift was held from 9:30 am to 12:45 noon, while the second shift was conducted from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

The Bihar board conducted the exam for Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian, Bhojpuri, and Hindi language for non-Hindi speakers on Wednesday .
On February 20, the board will hold the social science exam in two shifts. There will be slight change in the exam timings. The first sitting will be from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm and second shift from 2 pm to 4 pm.

The BSEB has expelled a total of 15 students from the Bihar Class 10 board examination on the third day due to involvement in unethical practices.
