For BSEB Matric exams 2025, board prohibits shoes, socks; exam timings, entry rules

NEW DELHI: For the upcoming BSEB Matric exams 2025, the Bihar School Examination Board has issued guidelines on dress code, exam timings, and ban for trespassing. Bihar Board Class 10 exams 2025 will be conducted from February 17, 2025 to February 25, 2025. The exams will be held in two shifts – first shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift from 2 pm to 5 pm.

As per Bihar Board Class 10 exam guidelines and the instructions issued on Bihar Board 10th admit card 2025, examinees are strictly prohibited from wearing shoes and socks in the examination hall. Accordingly, the board has asked candidates to wear slippers instead of shoes and socks to enter the examination center.

“In the described scenario, all concerned are directed that no change has been made in the provision, that is, candidates are completely prohibited from entering the examination hall wearing shoes and socks. Accordingly, it is mandatory to strictly follow it,” BSEB added.

BSEB Matric Exams 2025: Reporting time

Issuing instructions on Bihar Board exam timings 2025, BSEB said that candidates of the first shift should arrive at the centre 30 minutes before the exam, that is, till 9 am for the first shift and till 1:30 am for the second. Candidates coming late will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. The entry will start one hour before the commencement of the exam and gates will be closed 30 minutes before the exam.

“It is informed that all the candidates should enter the examination center 1 hour before the scheduled time to avoid crowding and to reach their examination center on time. The main gate of the examination center will be closed half an hour before the start of the examination,” it stated.

Bihar Board Class 10 exams 2025: Trespassing

The board has also warned students appearing for Bihar Board Class 10 exams 2025 against criminal trespassing and announced a two-year ban and a First Information Report (FIR) for forcefully attempting to enter the exam centre after the exam timings.

“If a candidate reaches his centre later than the scheduled time and tries to enter the examination centre by jumping the boundary wall or forcibly and illegally at the gate, it will be considered as a violation of the instructions of the committee and in the category of Criminal Trespass. It will also be considered as a clear attempt to affect the sanctity of the malpractice-free examination and a criminal act,” the board stated.

Besides, suspension and legal action will be taken against the center superintendent of that examination center and other identified persons.

Candidates appearing for the Bihar Board Matric exams 2025 have been asked to reach the examination center at least one hour before the commencement of the exam. The main gate of the exam centre will be closed half an hour prior to the beginning of the exam.
