CA Exam 2020: Students demands postponement of exam

NEW DELHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the admit card for CA exam 2020. The CA foundation, intermediate (IPC), and final exams are scheduled to begin from November 21, 2020.

However, students raised many concerns as the COVID19 cases are increasing again. ICAI has previously provided the facility to opt-out. Students can skip the exam if they wish to.
It has been reported that many examination centres are under-construction buildings and remote locations. With reports of the third wave of the pandemic and a rising number of COVID cases, the students are apprehensive about giving the exams.
Students appearing for CA Nov exams 2020 are seeking solutions to their dilemmas using the hashtag #ICAI_DENIES_JUSTICE on various social media platforms.
Many students have also shared that their graduation exam dates are clashing with the CA exam dates. However, as per the ICAI guidelines, students are not allowed to do full-time college when they are undergoing the CA course.
The students have shared the instruction by ICAI, that the students with symptoms of COVID 19 will be allowed to give Group 1 examination in January- February 2021. However, in these conditions, they will have to submit their COVID Test report.
4.7 Lakh students to appear for CA November 2020 exams
As per media reports, 4,71,619 students will be appearing in the CA November-December 2020 examinations. ICAI has set up 1,085 exam centres and on any examination day, around 1,52,000 candidates are expected to appear for the exam.
