Cambridge English Programmes introduced at VELTech institutions

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 14: To help students in developing their language and communication skills and gain international certification, Cambridge Assessment English, a part of the University of Cambridge, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr.Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.

The major thrust of the MoU is to introduce Cambridge English Exams across Veltech Institutions and other educational institutes in and around Avadi in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Vel Tech is working with more than 390 Institution across 30 countries for various Academic and Research exchange activities.

Cambridge English would support with workshops in order to upgrade the knowledge of the teachers of the institution by training them in the use of latest pedagogies. It is hoped that through the MoU, Vel Tech will offer PG Programmes (M.A) enhanced with Cambridge English programmes for developing the communication skills and improving the employability of students.

With a Cambridge English Certificate, the student will be able to prove his/her English language skills to universities, employers and governments around the world.

Dr. Rangarajan, Founder Chancellor & President and Dave Baker signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. The dignitaries present at the event were, Dave Baker, Assistant Director, Cambridge Assessment English, Nassim Abu-Ershaed, Regional Commercial Head, Cambridge Assessment English, K.V.D Kishore, Vice President, Vel Tech , Dr. Sagunthala Rangarajan, Founder President, Vel Tech Dr. A Koteswara Rao, Director Academics and Dr. A. Abudhahir, Dean/FME.
