Cambridge International announces March exam results
NEW DELHI, MAY 16: Cambridge International, a division of Cambridge Assessment, announced the results of its March 2019 exam series in India for Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGSCE) and Cambridge International AS & A Level qualifications.
With more than 45000 entries, the March 2019 series witnessed a growth of 17% over the last year. Entries for IGCSE have grown by 20% while AS & A Level have seen an increase of 9 per cent.
“The March series has become the largest and the most popular examination series for Cambridge International in India. Most university admissions in India begin around June-July and writing exams in March enables our students to get their results in time to meet the admission deadlines,” said Ruchira Ghosh, South Asia Regional Director, Cambridge International.
The examination is set to introduce five new subjects to the March series from 2021 onwards. With the addition of Spanish, International Mathematics and Co-ordinated Sciences at IGCSE, General English at AS Level, and History at AS & A Level will also be introduced. Students will be able to take examinations in 24 IGCSE syllabuses and 16 AS & A Level syllabuses in the March series from 2021.
Cambridge International offers over 70 subjects at IGCSE and 55 subjects at AS & A Level with a choice of three exam series per year. Currently, there are over 470 schools in India offering Cambridge programmes and qualifications.
