CAPF 2018 result announced; Over 2934 candidates qualify for PST/PET and medical examination

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 10: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the result of written exam on January 10, 2019. The result of CAPF written exam has been released on the official website - http://www.upsc.gov.in/. Candidates who have appeared for UPSC CAPF written exam can check the result by downloading the result pdf. CAPF result pdf has the roll number and names of qualified candidates. Around 2934 candidates have qualified for PST/PET and Medical Standards tests.
Candidates who have qualified the written exam will be eligible to appear for PST/PET and Medical Standards tests. UPSC will issue the admit card of PST/PET and medical examination to the qualified candidates by February 12, 2019. Candidates qualifying the PST/PET and medical examination will be eligible to appear for the Interview/Personality Test.
UPSC will also release the cutoff of written exam category-wise after the declaration of CAPF final result. The cutoff of CAPF written exam will be released paper-wise. For paper 1 the cutoff will be calculated out of 250 marks whereas the cutoff of paper 2 will be calculated out of 450 marks. The marks obtained by candidates in paper 1 and 2 will be added and a combined cutoff will be released for both the papers.
CAPF written exam was conducted on August 12, 2018, across 41 exam centres. As per exam pattern, the written examination had two papers - paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 was general ability and intelligence whereas paper 2 was general studies, essay and comprehension.
UPSC CAPF is conducted for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and Border Security Force (BSF).
