NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 30, 2018 – IIM Calcutta has released the CAT 2018 question paper and response sheet for candidates who had appeared for the exam on November 25, 2018. CAT 2018 response sheet is available to view and print at the official website of CAT. This file will contain all the questions faced by the candidates and only the responses marked by them. The actual answers of the respective questions, i.e. CAT answer key, will be released at a later date in the first week of December.

To access the CAT response sheet, candidates are required to visit the official website of CAT, i.e. iimcat.ac.in and then click on the Login button.

Click on the Candidate Response tab on the Dashboard.

Next, click on the link ‘here’ to generate the response sheet file. The file will be available in html format. Candidates can view the question paper of CAT and all the answers marked by them in the exam.

The response sheet of CAT was first released by IIM Lucknow last year. By checking the CAT response sheet 2018, candidates can estimate their raw scores. It will help them get an idea of their performance in the exam until the release of the official answer key. According to the CAT 2018 Convenor Prof. Sumanta Basu, the concerned authorities are working on CAT answer keys and would be released in 10 working days, i.e. first week of December. Once the answer key is released, candidates can compare their answers from the response sheet with the answer key. This will aid them in estimating their scores. Further, if there is any discrepancy found by the candidates in the answer key, they can file objections by paying the requisite amount.

CAT 2018 result is expected to release in the second week of January 2019. It will comprise sectional and overall scaled scores and percentile. This will be followed by the selection procedure of CAT, wherein the B-schools will conduct the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. Various IIMs have already released the admission criteria on their official websites.

As per the CAT 2018 analysis by experts, this year’s exam received a mixed response from the candidates. It was rated moderate to difficult. The Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension was found to be easier in comparison to the Quantitative Ability section. The number of non-MCQ questions had also witnessed an increase as compared to last year.
