Use NowNEW DELHI, JANUARY 2: The CAT 2018 result will be declared on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 1 PM. IIM Calcutta has officially announced the CAT 2018 result schedule on the official website of the exam. Candidates will have to login through their CAT ID and password in order to download their scorecards. In a first, IIMs have announced the CAT 2018 result date in advance. Owing to a technical glitch, some of the candidates could access their CAT 2018 result on the website. Later, the login option was disabled.

In order to avoid further controversies, IIM Calcutta has announced the date of the CAT 2018 result. In order to check the result and download scorecard, test-takers will have to follow the below steps:
- Visit the official website of CAT 2018
- Login through your registration credentials – CAT User ID and Password
- Click on the tab ‘Score Card’
- Download your CAT 2018 Result cum Scorecard
IIM Calcutta had announced the CAT 2018 answer key on December 7 and the objections could be filed till December 10, 2018. In case any of the objections is found valid by the expert panel, the remedial measures taken by IIMs will be applicable to all the candidates and not just the candidate who has raised the objection. Details about such measures will be announced on or after the declaration of the CAT 2018 result.
As many as 2,09,405 candidates had appeared for CAT 2018 on November 25 out of 2,40,338 applicants. Based on the CAT 2018 result, IIMs and other participating institutes will shortlist the candidates for further rounds of WAT, GD and PI to be held from March. The sessions at the B-schools for 2019-21 batches would commence from July.
