NEW DELHI: CAT slot 1 concluded at 10.30 am on November 29. This was the first CAT exam where students faced the new CAT exam pattern under a reduced duration of 2 hours. Most students were clueless on the CAT 2020 number of questions. Here we check the CAT exam review as given by students and experts to know the important topics asked in CAT 2020 question paper.

The CAT question paper this year has 76 total questions with 26 from VARC, 24 from DILR and 26 from Quant. Around 20 questions were reportedly asked from TITA. English was a bit tricky for some while DILR seemed easy. According to experts, the CAT question paper was not that tough and students who had a bit of preparation could tackle it easily.
CAT slot 1 analysis shows that VARC has around 4 passages for 400 to 500 words. Questions in VA were 8, PS had 3, PJ 3 and OS questions were 2.
DILR saw 5 sets of questions with 6+6+4+4+4 marks each. QAA had 10 questions from Arithmetic, 10 from Algebra, 5 from numbers and 3 from Geometry.
Questions asked also covered topics like arrangement, rank and 4 set Venn diagrams.
Each section saw 6 non MCQ questions respectively. Candidates may remember that non MCQ questions have no negative marking.
