IIM MBA admission slot 1 exam analysis by Bulls Eye states that the paper was of moderate difficulty level. Students can check section-wise CAT 2020 review by Bulls Eye below:

Verbal Ability Review: The difficulty level was of moderate. There were four RC passages of 450-500 words each. Two passages had 4 questions each and two passages had 5 questions. Para jumbles and odd one out were all TITA questions. and 4 questions were of summary.  Overall an attempt of 17-20 with high accuracy will fetch 99 percentile. 

DILR: This was the most difficult section among all. There were a total of 5 sets of questions. 2 sets comprised of 6 questions each and 3 sets had 4 questions each. One set was from Venn diagram. Table set was lengthy but doable. An attempt of 10-14 questions with good accuracy will fetch 99 percentile.

Quant: This was the moderately easier section. Questions were asked from commercial maths and ratio based topics. However the difficulty level was not high, but the questions were time-consuming. An attempt of 14-18 questions with good accuracy level, will fetch 99 percentile.

Dress code for CAT 2020 slot 3

IIM Indore has announced that students should not wear the following types of clothes and jewellery while appearing for the CAT 2020 examination:

• Garments with large buttons
• Shoes/footwear with thick soles
• Nose pins, earrings, bangles or any other metallic ornaments
• Clothes with pockets
• Do not apply mehndi or henna on hands

IIM Indore has started slot 2 exam of CAT 2020 at 430 exam centres. It was observed that candidates and exam centre officials followed COVID-19 guidelines and maintained social distancing. IIM Indore is expected to release CAT result 2020 by the second week of January 2021. The exact CAT result date will be announced soon. Students will be able to access CAT 2020 result online on iimcat.ac.in by entering user ID and password. Around 2.28 lakh students will access CAT result 2020 for slot 1, 2 and 3 exam in online mode. No hard copy of iimcat.ac.in result 2020 will be provided by the authority.

• Enter CAT user ID and password in the login window.
• Click on the submit button and candidate dashboard window will be shown on the screen.

CAT 2020 number of questions 

This year, IIM Indore has come up with changes in CAT 2020 paper pattern and has not revealed the total number of questions. Based on the mock test, it is expected that CAT 2020 will contain a total of 100 questions. 

CAT cutoff 2020

The cutoff marks of CAT 2020 exam are the minimum marks required to get selected for next round. IIM CAT 2020 cutoff is released separately by coaching institutes. IIM Bangalore and some more institutes have released MBA IIM admission 2021 cutoffs while others will release soon after the exam. CAT exam analysis 2020 - Colour panel Indication

CAT 2020 is a computer-based online test. At CAT 2020 test screen, each colour indicates the status of a question. Students can check the meaning of each colour indication:

• Red - The Question has not been answered and not has been marked for review
• Green - Question has been answered and not marked for review
• Grey - The question has not been viewed or visited
• Violet - Question has been marked for review and not answered
• Violet with green tick - Question has been marked for review and answered

CAT cutoff marks 2020

The cutoff marks for MBA admission are announced separately by IIMs. Students who secure equal to or more than CAT cut off marks are called for the next round. IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Raipur have already announced their minimum marks for MBA admissions, while others will declare it soon after the CAT exam 2020. Students must be well-aware of the CAT 2020 exam day guidelines in advance to avoid facing any unnecessary stress. Students are advised to follow all the guidelines given by authorities. Some of the most important    CAT 2020 exam day guidelines are given below:

• Reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time to avoid the last-minute hassles.
• Do not forget to carry all necessary stationery items and other documents such as duly filled admit card, ID car, ballpoint pen, additional photograph, hand sanitizer (50 ml), and a water bottle.
• Mobile phones, laptops or any other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited at the examination centre. If any student is found carrying the same will not be allowed to appear for the CAT 2020 examination.
• Follow COVID-19 guidelines: Due to the novel Coronavirus, every student is mandated to follow all the COVID-19 guidelines to avoid the spread of the same.

96.5% students got test centre in city of their choice

This year, around 2.28 lakh students registered for CAT 2020 examination and they choose 6 exam cities as per their preference. Out of the total, around 2.19 lakh students have been allotted test centres as in their first preferred city.

• CAT 2020 is being conducted in three slots i.e. morning (8:30 am to 10:30 am), afternoon (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm) and evening session (4:30 pm to 6:30 pm). While in 2019, the exam was conducted in two slots.
• CAT 2020 total time duration has been reduced from 180 minutes to 120 minutes for non-PwD candidates.
