NEW DELHI- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore has successfully conducted the CAT 2022 exam on November 27. The last slot of the CAT exam 2022 ended at 6.30 PM. As per CAT slot 3 students' reactions, the third slot of the CAT exam 2022 was a little more challenging when compared to slot 1 and slot 2. This year, the overall difficulty level of CAT 2022 was moderately difficult. IIM Bangalore has not yet announced the CAT answer key release date. As per last year's trends, the official CAT answer key is expected to release on December 7, 2022. IIM Bangalore held CAT 2022 on November 27 as centre based test in 150 cities across India. The CAT exam was conducted in three shifts. Based on CAT exam analysis 2022, the questions across all three sections of QA, DILR, and VARC were moderately difficult. Along with the final answer key, the CAT 2022 result will likely be released in early January, 2023. The result will be published on the official website of IIM CAT in the form of scorecard. Candidates have appeared in the entrance exam will be able to download the scorecard, using proper login credentials such as CAT ID and password. Shortlisted candidates will be called for admission which may include WAT, PI/GD, etc. CAT 2022 participating institutes will release their CAT cutoff and selection procedure of CAT 2022 that can be checked on the respective website of the institute.

The Overall Scaled Score in CAT 2022 is the sum of the scaled scores of the student in the three CAT sections. Percentile refers to the percentage of the students who receive a scaled score less than or equal to the scaled score obtained by the student.
For IIMs, nothing less than the 97 to 98 percentile is good but for other top MBA colleges, 90 to 95 percentile is good. Most of the CAT test-takers fall in the category of 80 to 90 percentile and 100's of B-schools accept those with CAT scores in this range.
Most of the IIMs have release the admission criteria for the aspirants to analyse and assess their chances of MBA admission at IIMs. Both, overall and section cutoff in CAT in applied to shortlist the candidates for further rounds of IIM admission selection. Now, after the announcement of CAT exam results 2022, IIMs will start shortlisting candidates and send them call letters to participate in the further rounds such as Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). IIMs will shortlist candidates based on CAT 2022 score, CAT 2022 cut-off, overall profile, composite score and performance in WAT and PI.

Once the objections are raised by candidates, IIM Bangalore will release the CAT 2022 final answer key in online mode. The final answer key can be released likely in the last week of December 2022. If the objection raised by the candidate is found valid by the IIM, then the fee made will be refunded to the same account from which the payment is made otherwise it is non-refundable.
CAT 2022 scores will also be used for admission by more than 90 private and public MBA colleges spread over 23 states and Union Territories. Most non-IIM institutes of CAT 2022 are in Maharashtra (17), followed by Uttar Pradesh (11).

As per the CAT convener, a total of 2,22,184 candidates appear for CAT 2022 MBA entrance exam. Around 2.55 lakh candidates registered for the CAT exam 2022.

Another candidate Ritushree Roy reviewed the paper as moderately difficult, with questions in reading comprehension section was found to be easy, while DILR, VARC sections were a bit difficult. "I can hardly attempt 25 to 30 questions, and was not satisfied with the CAT exam. I will appear for IIM CAT exam next year."
Ankush Surin, a CAT aspirant said that the CAT exam was relatively tough in comparison to the last year. "The IIM CAT exam tough to me. I can hardly attempted 35 to 40 questions, as the questions in DILR were tough and time-consuming," he said.
As per the CAT official website and the schedule released, CAT 2022 result date is yet to be announced. However the tentative date is in the second week of January 2022.

Follow these steps to calculate the CAT percentile
Step 1: Know the total number of candidates (N) who appeared for the CAT 2022
Step 2: Assign a rank (r), based on the scaled scores obtained in the QA section, to all candidates who appeared for the CAT exam 2022. In the case of two or more candidates obtaining identical scaled scores in the QA section, assign identical ranks to all those candidates.
Step 3: Calculate the percentile score (P) of a candidate with rank (r) in the QA section as P = [(N − r)/N] x 100
Step 4: Round off the calculated percentile score (P) of a candidate up to two decimal points

CAT slot 3 analysis timings were 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Of all three sections, the DILR section was of easy to moderate level. Some of the questions were trickier in the quantitative skill section. In VARC, the bulk of the questions were of medium difficulty level. In RC, there were two extensive passages. Overall the difficulty level of CAT exam slot 3 was between moderate to difficult.

CAT exam slot 3 has concluded now at 6:30 pm. The CAT exam 2022 slot 3 started at 4:30 pm today. With this evening session of CAT 2022, IIM Bangalore has successfully conceded the CAT exam this year. There were other two slots as well which were concluded earlier. The other two slots were of moderate difficulty as per the candidates who have appeared in CAT 2022.
The CAT exam 2022 slot 3 is over now and students are heading out of the CAT test centre. The students at CAT exam centre have suggested exams to be of moderate level. The CAT exam slot 3 started at 4: 30 pm and concluded at 6:30 pm. Students who appeared in this last CAT slot 2022 were among the 2 Lakh+ candidates who attempted CAT 2022.
IIM Bangalore has not yet released the CAT 2022 result declaration date and time. The CAT result 2022 is expected to be announced in the second week of January 2023. Last year CAT exam result was declared on January 3.
