NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) is set to release the notification for the Common Admission Test 2023 (CAT 2023) soon. When released, the CAT notification will be updated at the iimcat.ac.in 2023 website. CAT 2023 is conducted to shortlist applicants to admit students to business schools across the country including at IIMs. As per the CAT exam pattern, the admission test is held for a duration of three hours. The test, going by last year pattern, will comprise three sections -- verbal ability and reading comprehension; data interpretation and logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude.

CAT 2023 was held in 150 cities across the country in multiple test centres. While filling the CAT registration form, candidates can select several test cities in order of preference in the online application.
The CAT 2023 eligibility criteria, if unchanged this year, will include a graduation degree from a recognised university or institute with 50 percent marks or equivalent marks. However, there will be relaxations in the qualifying marks for the reserved category students.
A candidate will have to hold a UG degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
The qualifying marks for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories will be 45 percent.
Candidates appearing for the final year of UG degree or equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree and are awaiting results can also apply
The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective university or institution to admit students to its MBA programmes
